Counselor's Corner

Sherri Kissick, Guidance Counselor

606-674-2722 ext. 3404

Times Available for Parent Meetings:  8:00-8:30, 2:30-3:00

Services I offer include, but are not limited to, classroom guidance, individual guidance, and small group guidance.  If your child is in need of a mental health referral, we have a Pathways therapist in-house and I will be happy to help you with that process.  If at any time you feel your child needs a referral to my office, please feel free to call, email, or stop by my office.

During August and September, I will visit each classroom for classroom guidance.  The focus will be on an introduction of myself and my role at the school.  We will also focus on positive attitude, making good choices, and starting the year off right.

During the first semester, each kindergarten class will receive a five-day unit on adjusting to school and being successful.

Relational aggression is a big issue, especially among girls.  All 5th grade girls will participate in a lunch group on dealing with friendship issues.
