I was born in Rowan County and raised in Salt Lick, Kentucky. I live just below Cave Run Lake and every male member of my family helped build Cave Run Dam in the early 1970’s. I attended school through the 8 th grade at Salt Lick Elementary School, and graduated from Bath County High School in 1964. Immediately after graduating from Bath County High School in 1964, I was hired as secretary for Salt Lick Elementary School by the principal. In 1974, at the needless to say, I have seen many changes in education throughout the years. I now have the duties of accounts payable, insurance coordinator, and other duties as assigned by the superintendent. My present job title is secretary to the superintendent.

Cathi Walters
Federal Programs Administrative Assistant - Special Education Secretary
My name is Cathi Walters and I was born and raised in Bath County and graduated here in 1985. I was crowned "Miss Bath County" that same year also. I am married to James, and have two children, Amy and Travis. We live in Sharpsburg. My interests include softball, 4-wheeling, walking, and reading. I am an active member of the Sugar Grove Christian Church and teach evening children's church. I have been employed by Bath County Schools since 1985. I originally worked with the Migrant Program, and in 1994, I started working with the Preschool, Special Education, and Title I Programs. My official title is Federal Programs Administrative Assistant. I train and employ preschool bus monitors and work closely with the bus garage and drivers. I enjoy working in our school system and hope to continue working here through retirement.

My name is Karen Ratliff and I am have been employed by the Bath County Board Of Education for 12 years. My multiple duties consist of the following; Assistant Finance, Certified & Classified Personnel, and Fixed Asset Coordinator.
I am originally from Montgomery County and graduated in 1987. I am married to Bobby Ratliff, Gateway District Health Director and have 2 boys. My oldest son Trey is 7 years old attends and first grade at Owingsville Elementary School. My youngest son Will is 2 years old.
I am very proud to reside in Bath County and even more proud to be an employee of the Bath County School system. We strive to educate every child and make them good citizens for the future of our county.

Jo Brewer
Finance Officer / Treasurer - Payroll
I am the Finance Officer for the Bath County School District. As Finance Officer I wear many hats for the district, I am responsible for all financial reporting for the district as well as processing payrolls for the district.
I came to the district on July 1, 2000, after retiring from Morehead State University as Director of Payroll for 29 years. I am a life long resident of Bath County. I am an avid supporter of both academics and athletics in our schools. I strive to do anything that I can to make the district successful.

My name is Stephanie Little and I am beginning my eighth year with the Bath County Board of Education. I currently serve the district in several capacities. I am the Director of Special Education and Preschool, and I coordinate the Adult Education/Family Literacy Program, Owingsville School Age Child Care, Section 504, and Bath County Even Start Program.
I received a Bachelor of Arts from Morehead State University and a Masters of Arts from Eastern Kentucky University. I also earned my Director of Special Education Certification and Rank I from Eastern Kentucky University.
I taught special education at Millcreek Elementary in Fayette County for four years and I taught Language Arts at Virgie Middle School in Pike County for one year. I also taught in a residential treatment facility in Fayette County for one summer term and served as Director of Special Education for one year with the Carroll County School System.
I am originally from Pike County and I currently reside at Farmers in Rowan County. I have been married to Shannon Little for 16 years and we have an exceptional dog Hugo.
I have worked throughout four school systems and the Bath County teachers are by far the best. I tell everyone that I meet how lucky I am to work with such great teachers. After being in the classroom at Bath County High School for 26 years, I moved to the District Technology Coordinator/Special Programs Coordinator position at the Central Office in August 2004. An additional responsibility that I have is Purchasing Director for the district.
I will have to say that the people at the district level are some of the most committed to our Bath County Students that I have ever seen, and I am glad to be part of this dedicated team. My goal is to lend my talents to reach our district’s goals and each school’s goals for our students. My aim is to be available to any stakeholder (students, faculty, staff, parents, community members) in our district who may need my assistance.
I have often been quoted as saying that Bath County Students are among the best, and I truly believe that statement.

Vickie Wells
Food Services Director
My name is Vicki Rankin Wells, Food Service Director at Bath County Schools. I have been a Bath County resident all my life, from attending grade school to graduation of High School in 1978. In 1987 I went back to school to earn a Science Degree from Morehead State University in Dietetic & Nutrition. I've been employed by the Bath County Board of Education for 18 years. I have been married to Ward Wells for 27 years, we have a son Jason Wells, whom lives in Altlanta, GA procuring a career in aviation, for Delta Airlines. We have a huge cat named Tom, who love to sleep and completely rule our home.
