    Students received their pitch rubrics and started writing their pitches today.  We will pitch next Monday.

    Study Zone: Students worked on homework or read today.

    Students discussed a mini project which will be presenting about a career in which they are interested.  Discussion about different ways to present took place.  Ideas students came up with included a speech, a powerpoint, acting something out, a digital story, or a YouTube video.

    Discussion of the Pitch Rubric took place as well.

    Students worked on homework during Study Zone today. Students who struggled to get on Thrively yesterday received help today.

    Students tried to log onto genius hour, and most were successful.  They started looking at three careers they had interest in.

    Due to some technical issues, this class was unable to complete the assignment planned.  We will try again tomorrow.

    Genius Hour - Students continued to work on assessments.

    Thursday, 8/24/2017

    Genius Hour - Students who had not yet completed the Thrively strength assessment did so, and the other students investigated the different videos and readings offered on the site, did homework, or read quietly.

    Study Zone - Students worked on any homework or read quietly.

    Students who had not finished their Genius Hour assessment on www.thrively.com worked to complete them.  If a student finished, he or she read through their five main strengths and wrote a journal entry about them.

    Students had study zone and completed homework OR read quietly for the 20 minute class.

    Students had study zone in the gym due to a teacher meeting. Students were to work on their homework.  If they had no homework, they were to read silently.

    Most students remembered their passwords and we logged onto www.thrively.com where the interest survey is located students will be taking on Wednesday.

    The first day was a bit hectic, so we didn't get to discuss the content of the class today.  We will start that tomorrow.
