Mrs. Manley's Memo

Welcome to Third Grade:

WILD about Learning

Welcome Back to CES!  I know that it’s hard to believe that another school year is beginning.  I am Mrs. Jeana Manley, and I will be your child’s teacher this year.  I am beginning my 16th year teaching in the district and my 14th year teaching 3rd grade.  Each day will be filled with excitement, fun, new experiences, and of course, lots of learning.  I absolutely love what I do and why not…  What could be better than seeing the amazement on tiny faces and the “light bulb” beam when they have learned something new?  This year will be no different than any other year.   We, the faculty and staff at CES, could not be more excited to begin the new school year.  Thank you, in advance, for all you do to help your child be the best each and every day!

During the first days back, we will review and discuss many rules, routines, and procedures that will be followed throughout the school year.  These rules, routines, and procedures are included in the “Third Grade Survival Guide” that will be sent home with the students.  They will be reviewed daily until everyone is comfortable with the rules, my expectations, as well as expectations throughout the school.  I know they may feel overwhelmed, as we all do this time of year, but we will work together to make the best every situation and have the greatest school year!  When we all work together and bring our best to the students at Crossroads, anything is possible!  As the doors open each day, we will continue to learn and grow as a family.  As the year progresses, we will all become more familiar with each other and become much more comfortable with the people and activities going on around us.  I know that we can all be successful at CES when we are the best that we can be every day!

As you may know, there are numerous forms that need to be completed and returned to school as soon as possible. The forms include some for school use in the office/nurse/FRC and our classroom so I can learn more about your child.  It is extremely important that we have these forms on file.  The forms will be sent home at the beginning of the school year and should be returned as soon as possible.  Also, this year, our CES handbook is included in the front of student agenda books for easier access and answers to school related questions.

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please feel free to contact me.  I look forward to a great year filled with many successes and celebrations because, at CES, we are WILD about learning!!
