Welcome to Mrs. Jones' room!!
Here is a little about myself.....I am a mom of three girls - Sarah, 14; Rachel, 12; and Rebekah, 9. My husband, Michael and I were married for 16 years in August. We also share our home with a rescue dog, Bella, who is 5.5 years old. We love to go camping and hang out as a family. We also are very active in our church and church small group.
I graduated from Morehead State University in 2009 with a MS in teaching and a Rank 1 in Special Education. I have been teaching at Owingsville Elementary School since the fall of 2007. I became a National Board Certified Teacher in Exceptional Needs. Before my teaching life, I graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in 1999 with a MS in Occupational Therapy. I was a therapist for 10 years in the surrounding counties where I practiced in schools and in homes.
In January 2014, I began an Autism certificate program and am currently continuing to finish classes. I should complete this process in December of this year. I am currently a member of our district's Autism Team as well as our regional Autism Cadre. I am very excited about the upcoming year and all the possibilities that it holds for your children and my students!
