Welcome to my website!!!
I am a 1993 graduate of Alice Lloyd College, where I obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics/Physical Science Secondary Education. I also have a Master of Arts degree in Secondary Education with an emphasis in Mathematics from Morehead State University .
I began my teaching career in 1993 but did not join the Bath County High School staff until 2001. I have had a variety of teaching experiences. I have taught private school, Job Corps, and public school. Through the course of my teaching career I have taught both math (GED Math, Business Math, Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, and Pre-Calculus) and science (Integrated Science I, Introductory Chemistry and Physics, Chemistry, and Physics).
There are several aspects of teaching that I love. I truly enjoy working with kids. It is fun to watch them grow and blossom into young men and women and to see what they do with their lives when they leave our school. I enjoy watching kids have that “aha” moment when they understand the material we are covering. Every day is an adventure when you teach. After 25 years of teaching, I still love what I do and do what I love.
I have been married for 18 years and have three black labs, Bear, Zooey, and Rascal.
My hobbies include spending time with my family, listening to music, reading, walking, fishing, crocheting, and playing catch with my dogs.
