I am a 1989 graduate from Menifee County High School.
I am happily married to Kevan Lane (27 years) and we have a 22 year old daughter named Megan.
I graduated from Morehead State University in May of 1994.
I obtained my Bachelor's of Science and Master's of Science degrees in Vocational Home Economics from Morehead State University. I completed my Rank I through the Continuing Education Option through the Kentucky Department of Education.
I am a member of the professional organizations National Association of Teachers of Family and Consumer Sciences (NATFCS).
The career pathways offered through the Family and Consumer Sciences department include Culinary and Food Services and Fundamentals of Teaching. To become a completor in either of these pathways you must complete the four classes listed for each pathway.
Culinary & Food Services: FACS Essentials, Foods & Nutrition, Culinary Arts I, and Culinary Arts II.
Fundamentals of Teaching: FACS Essentials, Early Lifespan Development, Middle to Late Lifespan Development, and Principles of Teaching.
I am currently in my 21styear of teaching here at Bath County High School.
I love this place and plan on retiring from here :)
I am one of the FCCLA (Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America) advisers and
I am also one of the) ER (Educator's Rising) advisers.
I also serve as a coach for the Jr. Chef Farm to School team, along with Vickie Wells and Lee Ann Ramey.
My hobbies include: scrapbooking, swimming, shopping, traveling and praying for snow days!!!
