STLP Regional Showcase - Morehead State University

Students from Bath County Schools traveled to Morehead State University on December 14, 2015, to compete at the STLP Fall Regional Showcase.  They were supervised by advisers Kristal Robinson, BCHS; Vickie Moriarity, BCMS; Michelle Lyons and Jessica Haynes, CES; and Shannon Hill, OES.  Jeremy Weaver and Keith Crouch, Bath County Schools Technicians, as well as Vickie Moriarity, BCMS Adviser, judged at the event.  Each chapter is required to provide a judge in order for their groups to be allowed to compete.  Each school had a project invited to enter state competition.

Winners from the different events who will be moving on to the State STLP Showcase at Rupp Arena on April 22, 2016, are:  

OES— Cooper Smoot & Henry Rawlings have been invited to state as Scratch Ambassadors!  Cooper and Henry will be assisting in running a workshop/ computer lab for the public to introduce coding to beginners! Kendall Vincent, Samuel Vincent, Wesley Conant, and Chris Ritchie have been invited to state with their showcase project!

CES –   The Scratch Club, Mahailah White, Eli Bradley, Brock Donohew, Clay Manley, project has been invited to participate at the State Competition.

BCMS – Hunter Bradley & Andrew Coyle have been invited to participate at state in April as Scratch Ambassadors.

BCHS -   Kendra Willis was invited to state competition in the Live Reporting Event.
