With much consideration and like many districts in the area, Bath County Schools will be closed Monday, August 21, in observance of the solar eclipse which most of Kentucky will experience.
The safety of the students is our primary concern and the reason for our decision to close schools.
Our teachers have already prepared lessons to give our students a better understanding of the solar eclipse and its historical and scientific implications.
Having the day off from school will provide parents and students a joint learning opportunity. There are opportunities on the internet for parents and students to learn more about the eclipse together.
