On Friday, March 29, 2013, Bath County students participated in the 4th Annual March Against Drugs. Students marched from BCHS to the Courthouse before circling back to the high school gymnasium. BCMS and OES students joined the march on the return trup to the high school. Students from CES joined the rally at the high school gym. All schools took part in the program that included speakers, singers, and cloggers. The culminating event was a competition among the students to "Shake Off Drugs."
Mayor Gary Hunt and Superintendent Harvey Tackett signed a proclamation during the ceremony in support of the march. Both of them addressed the large assembly of students.
Former BCHS graduate Laurie Miller spoke to the students regarding drug abuse and making good choices.
