Welcome Letter

Dear Parents,

I hope you have had a wonderful summer enjoying your children.  I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself.  My name is Amy Rushing.  I live in Mt. Sterling, KY where I was born and raised.  I am beginning my 22nd  year in the Bath County school system.  I taught K-1 at Bethel Elementary for 12 years.  I have two children.  Caleb is in tenth grade at BCHS and Caroline is in 7th grade at BCMS.  Caleb and Caroline love being a part of the Bath County school system!

I am very excited about being your child’s teacher this year!  We have a beautiful building that we are so lucky to get to come together in and learn new things every day.  I feel very blessed to get to work with your kids.  It is so fulfilling to watch these little ones come walking down the hall each day with so much excitement.  They can’t wait to get started and neither can I!  Please fill out the attached information sheet and bring it to Open House or the first day of school.

We are going to be very busy this year learning all that we need to learn as first graders!  I will be here leading, guiding, and encouraging your child every step of the way.  Your child will have a very special place at Crossroads and in my class.  I can’t wait to see how far they will come this year!  I know you will be amazed.  Please feel free to call me after school or leave a message with our receptionist and I will get back to you.  Once we have our schedule established, I will let you know my planning time as well.  Also, feel free to send me an email with any questions or concerns you may have.
