In these most difficult and challenging times, we see dedicated and tireless individuals going above and beyond to make sure that great things happen in our school.

Happiest of Thanksgivings

Dear BCMS School Community Member,

The first part of the 2017-2018 year has gone by quickly, and it has been both an exciting and a sad time.  Parents have met with their children’s teachers during parent conferences at the beginning of the year.  Our school has completed our first quarter and is well into our second.  Our wonderful teachers and students have wrapped their arms around several of our students who have been struck by tragedy this school year and have raised funds and provided much needed support for these children.

As we reflect on the many things for which we are  thankful, I want to take this opportunity to share just a few of them with you:  We are  thankful for our students who come to school every day ready to learn, the citizenship they display to make Bath County Middle School such a wonderful learning community, and the way they reach just a bit higher each day to improve themselves – they give us all a daily reminder of what is important and why we are here.  We are thankful for the support of the parents in creating an outstanding partnership for our students.  We are thankful for the teachers, assistants, health aides, bus drivers, secretaries, nurses, lunchroom aides, support staff, therapists and administrators who really care about student achievement and have the best interests of our students at heart.  We are also thankful for our volunteers who enthusiastically contribute so much to our school.

In these most difficult and challenging times, we see dedicated and tireless individuals going above and beyond to make sure that great things happen in our school. They do make a difference, and the children, in their own individual ways, benefit from those efforts.

Most importantly, we are thankful for the parents that have kept the faith in us.  They continue to share their most valuable possession with us and—in most cases— work hard and advocate to be a partner in their children’s education, safety and well-being. For this, we are ever so thankful.

I would like to wish all of you and your families a happy, healthy and relaxing Thanksgiving holiday!

Sincerely,

Warm regards,

Mr. R. Todd Neace
