Welcome

On behalf of the Bath County School district, I would like to thank our students and their parents for choosing one of our excellent schools to attend.  Our 18-19 school district theme is “Go The Extra Mile”. It will be vital for our entire school community  to work as a team for our Bath Co. children.  Let us strive together to make this school year the best and safest one yet for our children of Bath County.

Congratulations to Miki Marksberry for being selected to the Governor's School for the Arts Program.  The GSA programs mission is to build lifelong relationships with the arts.   A student must be passionate, collaborative, inclusive, innovative and stewards of the Arts to be selected for participation in the GSA program.

Congratulation to BCHS Governor's Scholar Recipients

scholar   Congratulations to Dakota Davis, Nicholas Frizzell, and Caroline Whitt on being accepted into the Governor's Scholar Program.  The Program’s mission is to enhance Kentucky’s next generation of civic and economic leaders.

In order to participate in the Program, students must compete on a state-wide level. Selection for the program is highly competitive, with an application process similar to that of prestigious colleges and universities. In addition to an academic profile that includes difficulty of course load, GPA, and at least one standardized test score, the application requires an outline of all extracurricular activities, a history of volunteer service, and a list of job positions held. A Teacher recommendation which includes both a quantitative evaluation and qualitative descriptions of the student’s performance and potential; as well as a Community Recommendation which shows how a student performs in a community setting beyond the high school are also required. The final component of the application is an original writing entry.

Bath County is very proud of these students and we look forward to following their success.
